Our society needs diverse perspectives and approaches in order to master the challenges of the future.

We need to be at the forefront of digitalization so that we can secure many jobs and thus our prosperity in Austria in the future.
This also applies in particular to the education of young IT specialists for the job market.

Our goal as a non-profit, innovative and internationally recognized training center for digital excellence at 42 Vienna is to bring people from different walks of life and with different experiences into the IT sector and develop them into highly qualified, solution-oriented IT experts.

There is currently a shortage of over 28,000 IT specialists in Austria. The deficit is being increased by digitalization and the rise of artificial intelligence and requires forward-looking educational models. This is precisely where our education at 42 comes in and aims to equip specialists with precisely those skills that are most urgently needed through future-oriented education.

Launched in Paris in 2013, the 42 education model is based on peer-to-peer learning and completely dispenses with teachers and traditional face-to-face teaching.

The training is free for all students, requires no prior programming knowledge and focuses on logical thinking, creativity and teamwork. Students benefit from a practice-oriented and flexible learning concept that is tailored to the requirements of the modern job market.

The aim is to use free and open access to inspire people outside the traditional educational pathway to pursue a digital career and to develop them into independent and solution-oriented IT specialists at university level.
