Wien Digital aims to create a “city of short distances” with around 1,200 dedicated employees by significantly contributing to the digitalization of Vienna’s city administration, hospitals and care homes, as well as schools.

Viennese residents can trust that digital services are secure, available around the clock, and easily accessible, making their lives easier. Wien Digital provides infrastructure such as Wi-Fi in municipal offices, as well as software, web applications, and apps.
The portal mein.wien stands for the personalization and digitalization of citizen services in Vienna, offering direct access to a wide range of digital services. Administrative tasks can be completed simply and conveniently through that portal. These include inquiries about parking permits, business, kindergarten, dog registrations, appointment reservations and digital building permit submissions. All functions of mein.wien are seamlessly integrated into the Stadt Wien App, making all services fully available on the go.
In the health sector, Wien Digital provides patients with Wi-Fi. The department acts as a provider for ELGA (Electronic Health Record), ensuring that digital medical records are accessible around the clock during treatments within the Wiener Gesundheitsverbund (Vienna Health Network), also enabling online appointment bookings in outpatient clinics.

Data is stored in Wien Digital’s own modern data centre.
